Join APT WGLC for a Hands-On Gilding Workshop at Daprato Rigali Studios
Join APT WGLC for a hands-on workshop focused on gilding application and repair at Daprato Rigali Studios. Daprato Rigali will present, demonstrate, and provide a hands-on workshop on the process of restoring gilded architectural elements. Attendees will gain an understanding of investigating, documenting, repairing, and replicating historic gilding. We will also learn about factors to consider in developing treatment options and conducting mockups.
We’ll end the event with an open house of Daprato Rigali’s studio, with light refreshments provided by Daprato Rigali.
Daprato Rigali Studios is a 5th generation family-owned studio specializing in gilding, mosaics, stained glass, wood, marble, and decorative painting.
Additional Information
Safety glasses will be provided. Street parking is available in front of the studio at 6030 N Northwest Highway, or public transportation is a short walk from the Norwood Park Metra station.
Registration
Registration is limited to 20 participants. This is a members-only event and is free to APT WGLC members. Attendees will receive 3 AIA CEUs (pending approval).
