APT WGLC invites members to join us for an exclusive jobsite tour of the Deering Library Restoration at Northwestern University.

Designed by James Gamble Rogers in the Collegiate Gothic style, Deering Library opened in 1933 as the main library for Northwestern University. Its stone façade, monumental windows, and ornate woodwork make it one of the campus’s most architecturally significant landmarks.  This jobsite tour will provide a look at the ongoing restoration work, including masonry repairs, interior woodwork refinishing, and preservation of the building’s intricate architectural details. APT WGLC will meet at 3:00pm at the main west entrance. This is an active construction site, please wear appropriate footwear. Please bring a hardhat if you have one, if not hard hats will be available for loan on site. Please note that registration is limited to 15 members.
