APT WGLC welcomes members to join us for a tour of the Chicago Board of Trade Building. The CBOT was designed by Holabird and Root in the Art Deco style. It opened in 1930 and was the tallest building in Chicago for more than three decades. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and as a Chicago Landmark.
Our tour will include historic interior spaces as the building is in the planning phases for a renovation project that will include creative office, retail, restaurant spaces while respecting the building's historic features.
This program will offer 1 AIA CEU pending approval. The event is limited to 15 participants.
Please join us for a casual drop-in happy hour after the event at Ceres located in the CBOT building. Happy hour is open to all and tour participants should arrive around 5 pm.
