Please join APT WGLC for a Terrazzo Restoration Workshop on October 26th at the Federal Courthouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Doors open at 8:30 am with presentations from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The event will cover topics including terrazzo history, different types of terrazzo installations, mechanisms of distress, material sourcing for repairs, non-destructive and more invasive methods for identifying existing fabric, temporary repairs and reversible alternatives, and terrazzo cleaning. The group will also review and discuss terrazzo restoration case studies. This workshop will be interactive, please bring your terrazzo questions!
Presenters include: Anne Sullivan – School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and representatives from NTMA, Illinois Terrazzo and Marble Supply of Illinois, and contractors and technicians from Wisconsin that specialize in the preservation and restoration of terrazzo.
